PPSB Unarmed — First 4 Hours

Length: 4 hours
Format: Partial unarmed training certificate

This course covers the first four hours of the unarmed training program, including Security Officer in America and the Legal Block.

This class may apply to certain expired unarmed security guards or individuals seeking to work in a probationary status according to PPSB guidelines.

Upon completion, students will receive a partial unarmed certificate. Students who wish to complete the remaining training may do so, and the remaining $75 balance will be invoiced.

PPSB Armed Security Training

Length: 20 hours
Schedule: Wednesday through Friday, excluding federal holidays
Prerequisite: Completed unarmed training or current unarmed PPSB card

This course provides the required 20-hour armed security training for North Carolina PPSB armed registration.

Included:
Range time, targets, and 250 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

PPSB Armed Renewal

$200

Length: 4 hours
Schedule: Fridays; times vary

This course includes the required legal update and range qualification for PPSB armed renewal.

Included:
Range time, targets, and 100 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Students using any caliber other than 9mm must provide their own ammunition.

Weapon-mounted lights and optics may be used for recertification.

PPSB Long Gun Recertification — Rifle

$175

Length: 2 hours
Schedule: Tuesdays when scheduled

This course includes a classroom legal update and range qualification for PPSB rifle recertification.

Included:
Range time and targets.

Student must provide:
Rifle and ammunition.

PPSB Long Gun Certification — Shotgun

Length: 8 hours
Schedule: Monday or Tuesday when scheduled

This course provides PPSB shotgun certification training.

Included:
Range time and targets.

Student must provide:
Shotgun and ammunition.

SLED Basic / Plus / Plus-Armed Renewal

This course provides SLED armed security officer renewal training.

Included:
Two ink-rolled fingerprint cards if applicable, three copies of paperwork, application notary, range time, targets, and 100 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

ASP & Less-Lethal Training

Length: 8–10 hours

This class is taught by an ASP Certified Instructor and includes training in OC, baton, and restraints/handcuffing.

This class includes OC exposure. Please check the calendar for available dates.

SLED Basic / Plus Renewal — Unarmed

$150

Length: 6 hours

This course provides SLED unarmed security officer renewal training.

Included:
Two ink-rolled fingerprint cards, digital photo, three copies of paperwork, and application notary.

SLED Basic / Plus / Plus-Armed New Officer

$250

Length: 8–10 hours

This course provides SLED armed security officer training for new armed officers.

Included:
Two ink-rolled fingerprint cards, digital photo, three copies of paperwork, application notary, range time, targets, and 100 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Private Firearms Instruction

$75 per hour

Private one-on-one firearms instruction is tailored to the student’s current needs, skill level, and training goals.

Students are responsible for public range fees and ammunition. Targets are provided. Private range time may be arranged by request.

Advanced Combat Pistol Mechanics

$300

This advanced pistol course focuses on practical shooting mechanics and real-world application.

Training may include:

• Shooting on the move
• Shooting from cover
• Speed reloads
• Live-fire malfunction drills
• Target identification
• Shoot / no-shoot decision-making
• Competition-style shooting concepts

Range time, targets, and 9mm ammunition.
